Fasting tests

Sugar, lipid & full-body

  • No food for 8–12 hours before the sample
  • Plain water is allowed, no tea, coffee or juice
  • Avoid alcohol and heavy, oily food the night before

T3, T4, TSH

  • Morning sample is preferred
  • If you take a thyroid tablet, ask your doctor whether to take it after the sample
  • Mention any biotin or multivitamin supplements
Urine

Routine & culture

  • First morning urine is best
  • Collect mid-stream in the sterile container we give
  • Wash hands; don't touch the inside of the lid

Where is my sample actually tested?

In Thyrocare's own laboratory at CP-67, Viraj Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.

Do I need a doctor's prescription?

No. You can simply tell us the test names. If you have a prescription, upload a photo and we'll work out the tests and the best rate for you within 30 minutes.

Do you collect samples at home?
